A federally funded, coordinated initiative of Winrock International, University of Arkansas and NorthWest Arkansas Community College to advance regional competitiveness, The ARK Challenge is a mentorship-driven business acceleration program for tech startups developing web-based and mobile apps that serve the retail, transportation/logistics and food processing industries. Selected startup teams receive over $20K in seed funding to give full-time focus to business/product/customer development for 3 months, free office space in Northwest Arkansas, as well as training, access and mentorship from top minds at Walmart, Tyson, J.B. Hunt and supplier networks. At the end of the program, two teams will be selected to receive access to additional optional funding of $150K each.
