RidePost: Making Us Proud

From RidePost: While the NY/NJ region is a far cry from South Carolina, we are still in a position to help those that were affected by the devastation brought on by Hurricane Sandy. We at RidePost were already planning a road trip up to the Boston area for a conference, with plans to pass through New York. That’s when it clicked: let’s try to get some things together to donate to the Sandy relief effort – why not? We want to help if we can. And while we’re at it, let’s invite others to join us in our efforts.
The team at GAN has been crazy busy this week as we prepare for our annual Founders’ Conference. While I’ve had a lot of great conversations as we prepare for the event, there is one that keeps warming my heart, an email from Peter Barth of The Iron Yard accelerator in South Carolina.
Peter had forwarded me a message with plans from an Iron Yard team, RidePost, to help Sandy recovery efforts as they travel to Boston for our conference. Here’s an excerpt:

We’ll be dropping donated items at Red Cross stations in the NY/NJ region. If anyone is interested in donating items to be delivered, or in joining us on our trip, please reach out at hello@ridepost.com. We’ll be departing Greenville on Monday, November 12th, and can collect items leading up to Sunday, 11/11/12.
We just received a big donation (100 pillows + pillow cases!) and are hoping to bring the South Carolina love and support with us on our trip. We’re looking for household goods, bedding, non-perishable food items, and warm clothing for the cold months ahead.
Nice work, RidePost!
If you live between South Carolina and New York, you may be able help out (or even hitch a ride) as they make their way to the conference. More details at ridepost.com/SandyRelief!
